Combining beautiful violet and brownish black streaks and wild figured burl eyes, Claro walnut burl is favored for high end veneer for cars, jets, turned articles, and exquisite jewelry boxes. Most of the supply originates in orchards as either production walnut trees or wind row trees to slow the wind and show property lines. Claro Walnut Burl is a beautiful wood that is in high demand and short supply. It is dense but works and finishes well with the use of a grain sealer.These beautiful blanks have all been aged for six years and are between 4 and 10% moisture with most being between 6 and 8 percent.There is some crotch figure at one end.
