Goldfield burls are a rare and wonderful species from Australia that can be expected to yield exceptional projects! This cap has been air dried for 3.5 years as of 2019 and contains some residual moisture, but is mostly dry. It has been hand planed on the surface of the face to reveal natural burl eyes & rich color. The surface is not flat. The back is natural and bark free with a unique live burl edge that can be utilized creatively. Some surface checks and incursions may be present.
