This beautifully figured Ipe turning wood has rich Lignum Vitae green to reddish/brown color. Figure is most often seen on quarter sawn faces. It is unusual to have figured in Ipe! This is a rare treat. Ipe also takes a wonderfully high polish. This hardwood has air dried for 1 year but does contains residual moisture. The wood is completely wax sealed. This turning square has a couple end checks that extend 7/8" into the piece.
