This high quality Maple has aged from 6-12 months in burl form before being cut into blanks and wax sealed. These blanks have lost up to a quarter to half of their original moisture content. Residual moisture is present and twice turning is the recommended method for drying. Live edges, bark incursions, spalting, and surface checks may be present.
